Description for B&B:

Welcome to B&B Villa Verde in Grosio, located in the beautiful Valtellina region. Situated just 15 km from Tirano and 25 km from Bormio, our bed and breakfast offers a comfortable stay for guests. The recently renovated bedrooms on the second floor are accompanied by en suite bathrooms for your convenience. Additionally, there is a spacious open area on the same floor, serving as a combined living and dining room for breakfast.

Our garden features a charming pond with a variety of goldfish and aquatic plants, adding to the beauty of the surroundings. Enjoy outdoor living on our covered terrace, perfect for relaxing, chatting, and having breakfast during the summer months. We provide parking adjacent to the house and within the grounds, as well as a garage for bikes.

Choosing Grosio as your holiday destination offers numerous benefits. It is centrally located, making it easy to reach popular tourist resorts such as Bormio, Livigno, S. Caterina, Aprica, Teglio, and St. Moritz. Grosio is also strategically positioned for accessing historical cycling routes, including Mortirolo o passo Foppa, Gavia, Stelvio, Bernina, Aprica, and Verva.

Grosio's location between Bormio and Tirano allows for quick access to ski slopes, ice-skating rinks, thermal bathing pools, and the famous ancient Roman thermal baths within just 15 minutes. A 10-minute drive will take you to Tirano, where you can catch the red train of the Bernina pass and embark on a scenic journey to Saint Moritz, passing through breathtaking landscapes at over 2000 meters above sea level.

Grosio boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage, making it a must-visit destination in the Valtellina region. The mountain regions of Valgrosina, Valdidentro, and Alpi Orobiche culminate at the Mortirolo pass, offering pristine natural beauty and endless opportunities for hiking, mountain climbing, and cycling.

While in Grosio, don't miss the chance to explore the park of rock carvings, which features medieval castle ruins and showcases the continuous inhabitation of this region since prehistoric times. The "Rupe Magna" in the park is the largest rock carving in the Alpine area. Entry to the park is free, but we highly recommend a guided tour for a deeper understanding of its history. The "Villa Visconti Venosta" is another notable attraction, serving as a museum and library surrounded by a vast park with a well-equipped playground for children. Additionally, there is a museum dedicated to costumes and uniforms from the Great War, as well as the beautiful church of San Giorgio and San Giuseppe.

Come and experience the beauty and history of Grosio at B&B Villa Verde!
